Silversmithing Stakes

living in Australia it's almost impossible to get your hands on silversmithing stakes, so for the last few years I've been designing and making my own. after an influx of inquiries from smiths from all over the world I've decided to start making these for anyone who's interested, trying to do my part to keep people making and give people access to the tools they need to keep silversmithing alive all over the world.

all stakes are made to order, cut from various thicknesses of 250 grade mild steel plate, avoiding the pitting and weaknesses that can occur in some cast alternatives. blanks are then laboriously ground down to the desired shape and finished with a scotchbrite belt for a matte finish (as pictured).

stakes are not case hardened but I find the steel holds up the same to an errant hammer blow as other commercially available stakes.

all prices are in Australian Dollars, so don't forget to convert.
